The cable transits from MCT Brattberg have been specially developed to carry cables through in a safe, watertight and fireproof way. Certified, Safe, for 25 years.
RGS is MCT Brattberg's standard welding frame for marine applications. The frame, like all other RGS windows and RGB windows, has a standard internal width of 120mm and is 60mm deep. The RGS window is 10mm thick as standard. There are four sizes of RGS, designated 2, 4, 6 and 8, depending on their height. The RGS 2 is the smallest with approx. 100mm internal height, the RGS8 is the largest with approx. 280mm. The transit windows can be used in both vertical and horizontal position. Based on these standard sizes, multiple frames are possible in numerous combinations. For example, an RGS6+6x4 has a standard double height of basic size 6 (approx. 220mm internal height), and that 4 times next to each other. This window therefore has 2 rows of 4 openings one above the other, or 8 openings of size 6 (internal space per opening 120mm wide x approx. 220mm high). The RGS is welded into a precision pre-cut hole in the deck or bulkhead.
The RGS windows are produced in steel (A36), stainless steel (316L) or aluminum.

The RGSC is used in decks and bulkheads that are subject to a higher load or heavier load. The extra rounded ends help prevent stress cracks.
Special corner blocks and end seals are used for the RGSC to properly seal the curves in the corners.
RGSF has a flange that allows the bushing to be welded into a hole slightly larger than the frame. For installations where cables are already present, specify RGSFO with a removable end. The RGSFB is the bolt-on version of the RGSF frame.
RGSF in webshopThe RGSK transit is recommended if water collection on the transit side necessitates the installation of packing blocks a certain distance from the deck or bulkhead.
RGSK in webshopRGSR is used in decks and bulkheads that are subject to a higher load or heavier load. The extra rounded ends help prevent stress cracks.
The RGSR is welded into a precision pre-cut hole in the deck or bulkhead. As with all MCT penetrations, the RGSR is produced in steel, stainless steel or aluminum.
The radius of the rounded ends is 70mm (2.76”) made on an otherwise standard 2, 4, 6 and 8 model RGS frames. The RGSR can be used in multiple frames. For more information such as prices and installation specifications, please contact Maurice Welbie
RGSO is a RGS frame with removable end, this frame can be used when cables are allready in place.
The RGSbtb is used, among other things, to create completely gas-tight spaces and if there is a risk of jet fires, for example when there is a risk that pressurized fuel lines become damaged and the fuel sprays out of the resulting opening. In addition to these applications, the RGSbtb is also used as a guaranteed pressure-tight penetration, whereby each individual penetration is tested for pressure tightness after installation. To this end, the intermediate chamber, between the two rows of blocks, is filled with water via a valve and put under pressure. In that case, in addition to the filling valve, each penetration is provided with a pressure gauge, so that the pressure in the inner chamber can be measured.
