This requirement is intended to prevent certain materials on the non-fire side from igniting due to the increased temperature.
Application of Fire Safe plug in A-60 wall
The Fire Safe plug from PSI Sealing, also shortened to FS, is suitable as a fire retardant lead-through plug for steel pipes through A-0, A-15, A-30 and A-60 steel walls and floors. For this purpose, the respective wall must be provided on both sides with A-60 classified insulation material, which at least covers the space 200 mm around the bushing. In addition, a pipe length of 300m must be symmetrically welded into the wall, where the pipe to be fed first and then, at both ends, a Fire Safe plug is placed. The pipe diameter of the pipe to be routed may be a maximum of 168 mm.
