EF type searchlights
The EF type searchlight is an electrically controlled searchlight that is operated from a control panel in the wheelhouse. The control panel is connected to a special power supply (for Xenon) that controls the searchlight. Halogen and LED searchlights have no external power supply. The control panel includes a joystick for precise movement of the searchlight. Optionally, the searchlight panels can be equipped with focus, zero position switch and digital position indication.
The EF-type searchlight has become the industry standard, due to its simple operation, regardless of the position of the searchlight. The EF searchlight is especially suitable for operation from a larger or closed bridge. Since the position of the EF type searchlight is independent of the position of the operator, who can perform the operation from the control panel, the searchlight can be placed practically anywhere, such as high in the mast or at the front or back of the ship.
From the EFD type, the searchlight can be operated with max. 4 control panels.
