Zenitel, the parent company of the Vingtor Stentofon and Phontech brands, has been the leading provider of onboard communications for many decades. Based on various acquisitions from the past, it has had various brands in its portfolio. Currently the most famous brand is Vingtor-Stentofon; in addition, the Phontech brand is also used for some installations, such as some intercom systems and an analog telephone system.
In order to develop a clearer profile towards its customers, Zenitel is pursuing a one brand strategy, in which the current yellow logo is largely preserved. With this brand strategy, Zenitel aims to increase brand awareness and strengthen brand reputation.
Zenitel is the global market leader in maritime onboard communication. TTT has been the exclusive importer for the Dutch market since 1984. After years of mixing the brands Vingtor, Stentofon and Stento, each with their own individual systems, it was decided in 2014 to continue under the merged brand Vingtor-Stentofon. In 2018, Zenitel acquired Jotron's Phontech product range. Phontech specializes in intercom, public address and general alarm solutions for the maritime and oil and gas markets. Since then, in addition to Vingtor-Stentofon systems and products, TTT also supplies several systems under the Phontech brand name.
Now, in 2021, it has been decided to opt for one brand name for the future: Zenitel. Although the product brands Vingtor-Stentofon and Phontech will remain unchanged for the existing products for the time being, all new products will be labeled Zenitel. The new brand logo will therefore be communicated more emphatically. From now on, the new logo will form the basis for all corporate communication. In the future, you will therefore increasingly find the new brand logo on all Zenitel products on all new products and systems to be introduced.
