A refit project of a telephone system is more common at TTT and is generally not experienced as very special. TTT's latest ACM refit project, the Thun Globe, is. The Thun Globe, formerly Bro Globe, is a 115m long tanker ship. The vessel currently has a Panasonic KX-TD1232 telephone system on board which needs to be replaced.
The special thing about this project is that Service Engineer Edwin Ooink, who was the first project at Theunissen 16 years ago, installed and delivered this system himself. The Panasonic KX-TD1232 system will be replaced by a Vingtor Stentofon AlphaCom XE7, in combination with a new Micropack UPS from Eltek Power. The new system is designed in such a way that it can be easily exchanged and therefore requires little maintenance.
TTT Service Engineers always tailor a telephone system and, if desired, can also commission the system on board.
With the new AlphaCom system, the Thun Globe now has a very reliable system especially for shipping and parts that are readily available now and in the future.
