In the range of Glamox floodlights, also often referred to as floodlights, conventional lighting sources such as halogen, metal halide (MH) and high-pressure sodium vapor lamps (HPS) are represented, but of course there are also various LED floodlights.
The halogen floodlights are most commonly used as floodlights for relatively short distances and an average light intensity. The light output increases as the power consumption increases (standard types are available with 200W, 500W and 1000W)

For larger surfaces or when a higher light output is required, gas discharge lamps are often used, such as Metal-Halide and Sodium High Pressure lamps. These light sources require a high peak current, but offer a very high light output relative to the consumed power. However, the light spectrum with, for example, a sodium high-pressure lamp is more limited (the well-known "orange-yellow" light).
In addition to halogen and gas discharge light sources, Glamox offers an interesting range of LED floodlights.
On the basis of the increasingly powerful LED technology, various LED floodlights are now also available, which can measure their light intensity against the conventional variants, whereby the power consumption is tens of percent lower. In addition to the saving in power, and ultimately the saving in spent fuel on board, the extremely long service life of LED offers the advantage that exchanging light sources is a thing of the past. Another advantage of the LED spotlights is that they emit a very wide light spectrum, so that this light approximates the light color of daylight.
We have divided the spotlights that are available from Glamox into the following groups:
• LED floodlights: spotlights based on LED as a light source
• Halogen floodlights: floodlights with halogen light source
• Gas discharge floodlights HPS | MH: spotlights based on gas discharge
• 24V heaters (Hobbs): compact spotlights of 12V and 24V
• EX floodlights: floodlights suitable for use in EX zone 1 and / or 2
