TTTBV has been a distributor for Glamox since 1988. TTTBV originally started as a distributor for the renowned brand Aqua Signal. The Aqua Signal company was taken over by the Glamox Group in 1995. TTTBV now supplies the lighting products of all brands that the Glamox group, namely: Glamox, Aqua Signal, Luxo, Norselight and LINKSrechts. In the regular range for ship lighting, the range of Glamox and Aqua Signal has now been merged into one. For newly developed fixtures, only the Glamox brand name is used.
Lighting fixtures used on board ships or offshore platforms often have a lot more to endure than when used in regular environments. On board and at sea, the luminaires are exposed to, among other things, vibrations, shocks, very large temperature fluctuations, induction currents and interference, salty air, wave water (outdoor luminaires), danger of explosion and permanent use.
In order to be able to meet the high requirements resulting from all these environmental influences, all lighting fixtures developed by Glamox are thoroughly tested before being placed on the market. Glamox has extensive testing laboratories and research facilities, such as vibration benches, immersion baths, and temperature cabinets. These internal facilities have acquired an excellent reputation in the lighting industry and have licenses from institutions such as the European Norms Electrical Certification (ENEC), the BSH Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie and Germanischer Lloyd (GL).
In addition, frequent use is made by accredited external laboratories. Based on the wide range of tests and investigations, Glamox lighting fixtures are supplied with type approvals and certificates that are recognized by almost all relevant certification bodies, such as, for example, Det Norske Veritas-Germanischer Lloyd (DNV-GL), Lloyd's Register (LR), Bureau Veritas (BV) and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB).
TTTBV has a large stock of the Glamox products, making delivery in the Netherlands within 24 hours possible in many cases. In order to meet the need for fast delivery as well as possible, for example for spare parts or replacement fixtures that are required immediately, TTTBV has developed a standard range, the Holland Standard. The Holland Standard is a selection of the most commonly used fixture versions per type, so that a wide range of products can be supplied from stock. Considerable stocks are also kept of a large assortment of spare parts.
