TTTBV started in 1984 as an independent supplier in the maritime industry. Communication systems on board formed the basis for this: telephony, public address systems, PA-GA, intercom, talkback, sound-powered emergency telephone systems, paging, wireless telephony and master clock systems. TTTBV still works closely with Zenitel Marine, the supplier with whom the collaboration began in 1984. In the meantime, the range of products has been expanded even further, including with radio systems, infotainment, entertainment and IP networks on board.
Zenitel Marine was Vingtor Marine in 1984, then already an internationally renowned name in internal communication on board ships and on offshore platforms. Partly as a result of various acquisitions, the company has grown steadily ever since. Today, Vingtor-Stentofonis used as an umbrella brand name for all systems and products. Another major acquisition was made in 2018 with the takeover of the well-known companyPhontech Phontech.
At TTTBV we have many decades of experience in designing, delivering, commissioning and maintaining internal communication systems, on board ships and offshore platforms. Based on specifications and taking into account the relevant regulations from IMO and Solas, we establish the correct communication systems. If required, we also draw in all necessary peripheral equipment on the specification drawings for the various systems. We also take into account, for example, minimum noise levels for alarms, such as in a PA-GA system.
A good example of integrated maritime communication is a Vingtor Stentofon PAGA system in combination with a telephone system. It is essential that a Vingtor-Stentofon telephone system is based on intercom technology. For example, with alarms, the speakers of the telephone sets, together with the speakers of the PA system, can be used simultaneously to send out an alarm message about the ship, or a part thereof.
The Vingtor-Stentofon systems have been supplied worldwide to ships and platforms since the 1940s. There are now more than 30,000 ships sailing with a system supplied by Zenitel or one of the companies it has taken over. TTTBV is therefore regularly requested for on-board service, the rapid delivery of parts or products or the upgrading of an existing communication system.
TTTBV has an extensive stock of its own, on the basis of which not only can spare parts be delivered quickly, but with which the wish to expand or modernize an existing system can also be met in the short term. We organize both the physical exchange of components and central equipment and the programming of the software.
