Glamox LED downlights series

The DL series from Glamox is a LED series of downlights that has been developed to replace the fluorescence and halogen downlights. To clarify what the differences are, we have compared the series below by type of properties.

DL40 LED

The DL40 series from Glamox is a cost-efficient series of LED downlights. The compact design and low profile of the lamp ensure easy installation and reduce the need for free space in the ceiling. The built-in driver makes installation very easy.

DL40 is the ideal choice when you want to use the lighting to create a warm and luxurious atmosphere. DL40 has a light but robust aluminum housing, which is available in three different finishes: white, chrome and gold. The ability to produce decorative lighting in combination with the neat and elegant design, makes DL40 ideal for applications such as public spaces, cabins and passenger spaces on cruise ships.

DL40 is also fully dimmable and can be supplied with a night light option. Night lighting is ideal for cabins and other areas where clear, direct lighting is needed to help you find your way at night without disturbing the environment more than necessary.

DL41 LED

The DL41 series of downlights with low installation is designed according to maritime standards. The fixture fits in almost all ceiling thicknesses and has a B0 design, a fire hood is not necessary. DL41 fits into ceilings in cut-outs of 155 mm or 145 mm. These dimensions are very commonly used cut-outs from older type downlights so that this new DL41 LED can serve as a perfect replacement (refits). The housing is made of galvanized white lacquered steel and the reflector is made of anodized aluminum with an integrated opal diffuser in polycarbonate. Decor rings and accessories are available in white, chrome or brushed aluminum.

Fitting the decor rings is very easy with a bayonet connection. Accessories such as various trim rings, decor elements etc. are available separately. Furthermore, the DL41 is also available as HF which can also be dimmed (phase cut). There is also a night light version (HF-NL) available and an emergency version HF-Z (via central UPS). Version with battery backup is expected later to expand the program

DL42-R77 LED

The DL42-R77 is a compact LED-downlight specifically designed to be integrated into B0 or B15 fire approved metal ceilings. The use of fire resistant materials combined with a unique heat sink makes this downlight to the perfect choice for B15 ceilings. With the use of the DL42-R77 there is no need for any additional heat caps on the opposite side of the ceiling to keep the B15 approval. The installation of the luminaire is easy with self-tapping screws. The DL42-R77 comes with an external or integrated HF driver. Various decor designs are available to customers choice. Designed for all B15 rated pax, public and crew areas such as cabins, corridors, staircases, shops, libraries, lounges, restaurant. Only for usage in metal ceilings.

DL60 LED

The DL60 LED is the most extensive and complete series of the family. With a full certification, for example also a UL certificate, you know for sure that the downlight always meets the technical requirements. The DL60 is the ideal choice if you want to use the lighting to create a warm and luxurious atmosphere, because there is a choice of five basic variants, there is always a downlight that fits your situation.

The five variants of the DL60 series:

• DL60-R92 LED suitable up to 25mm ceiling thickness
• DL60-R92H LED suitable up to B15 52mm ceiling thickness
• DL60-R108 LED Adjustable horizontal and vertical, suitable for a ceiling thickness of 35mm
• DL60-RF155 LED suitable up to 31mm ceiling thickness
• DL60-R155 LED suitable up to B15 52mm ceiling thickness
