Navigation lighting for ships
Products or equipment installed on open decks on board a ship or platform have special requirements. These requirements apply regardless of whether it concerns an open working deck, the spaces around lifeboats, gangways or spaces near special equipment, such as cranes and winches. Navigation lanterns must always be mounted on an open deck, visible to the environment and nearby ships or the shore. In addition to the specific requirements for equipment placed on open decks, the visibility of the vessel itself in the immediate vicinity is particularly important from a safety point of view. This means that once installed navigation lanterns not only meet all requirements in terms of light output and range, but must function at all times and in all weather conditions.
Aqua Signal navigation lanterns
Aqua Signal, part of lighting manufacturer Glamox since 1995, has been supplying high-quality maritime lighting solutions worldwide since the inception of electricity. Originally, the company even supplied petrol/oil lanterns for ship navigation. Aqua Signal's current lanterns are designed to meet all relevant functional and quality standards for marine application. Although navigation lanterns are still available based on a conventional light source, LED navigation lanterns are now available for every application and every type of ship. In addition to the lanterns, Aqua Signal also offers matching navigation panels. The navigation panels from Aqua Signal are suitable for controlling LED navigation lanterns, but conventional lanterns can also be coupled (partially if desired) to them.
All navigation lanterns from Aqua Signal are available in 115-230VAC and 24VDC. There are also special versions available for arctic environments, please contact Alfred Brussen.

Serie 55 navigation lights
The Series 55 Navigation Lights are applicable for ships > 20 - < 50 m in length. The navigation lights meet all the requirements of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 (COLREG), published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and local regulations.
The high-quality Series 55 with their non-magnetic and seawater resistant polycarbonate housing is virtually unbreakable and extremely reliable. Even the tungsten lamp with BAY 15d socket can be easily replaced.

The 60 and 61 series from Aqua Signal are LED navigation lights for vessels from 20 to 50 meters and longer than 50 meters. Long product life was a key priority in the design of the two single-layer lanterns. A smart, tamper-resistant countdown system also alerts the user when it's time to replace the lanterns. Even at an ambient temperature of +45°C, the service life is 100.000 hours.
Navigation lights are all about safety. Glamox has developed Series 60 and 61 to eliminate worries about failing lanterns.
The lifetime of the LED light source and driver is 11 years with a continuous run time, 24 hours a day at an ambient temperature of +45°C.

Series 65 navigation lights (Discontinued)
The Series 65 LED Navigation Lights can be used on all vessels ≥ 20 m in length. The LED navigation lights meet all the requirements of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 (COLREG), published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and local regulations. Arctic versions are available for low temperature areas.
The Series 65 is based on LED technology. Compared to conventional signal lamps, Series 65 sets new standards in terms of service life, efficiency and reliability. The main and backup system are compactly integrated in one housing. Series 65 navigation lights are available in black, white and brass housing colors.
Series 75 is the successor of the series 65 LED lanterns. Because the mounting holes are on the exact same location, the lanterns are one to one interchangeable.
NOTE: Series 75 is the successor for the Series 65 lanterns

Serie 70 navigation lights
The Series 70 and 70M Navigation lights are applicable for all vessels ≥ 20 m in length. Series 70 is a single lens navigation lantern and the 70M series is a double lens navigation light. The series 70/70M lights fulfill all requirements of International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 (COLREG) are published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and local rules.
The high quality Series 70/70M are virtually unbreakable and extremely reliable. Their nonmagnetic and seawater resistant polycarbonate housing is self-ventilated and the special tungsten bulb can be changed easily.
Series 70/70M lanterns can be connected to either 24V/110V/230V. This depends on the chosen light source.

Series 75 navigation lights (LED)
Series 75 is an extensive family of navigation lanterns with the latest LED and driver technology. The lanterns are suitable for all ships with a length from 20m. Series 75 sets new standards in service life, efficiency and reliability.
A Long product life has been a high priority in the design of these new lanterns. The main and backup system are built into one housing. In addition, the Series 75 includes a smart countdown system, which provides one when it is time to replace the lanterns. Even at an ambient temperature of 45°C, the service life is 100,000 hours.
Series 75 is available in Single version (Series 75), Double version (Series 75D), Single Arctic version (Series 75 Arctic) and Double Arctic version (Series 75D Arctic). Arctic versions are intended for use in low temperature areas and include a heating foil on the inside of the glass lens.

Steering light (LED)

Navigation panels
NL95 touch screen
The new NL95 touch screen navigation lights panel is a programmable control and monitoring system for navigation and signal lights. Built-in software allows easy programming of the lighting configuration in the main unit itself, without the need for external devices.
The NL95 continuously monitors the status of switched-on lamps and the lighting circuits by monitoring the power consumption. If the current falls below a threshold, an alarm is activated and the system automatically switches to backup light (if equipped), providing additional safety. Each light input is protected with a double pole fuse. Input modules are equipped with a manual activation function that allows operation even in the event of an electronic failure.
Characteristics:
- It is available in 230 VAC, 115 VAC or 24 VDC, depending on the power supply of the lamps.
- Special configuration for lanterns with 230VAC main and 24VDC backup power
- Controls up to 80 lamps, i.e. 30 double lamps and 20 single or up to 50 single lamps
- Configurable lighting groups ensure easy and trouble-free operation. Each light can be assigned to one or more groups
- Simple "plug-in" light modules tested and compatible with standard incandescent lamps and Glamox / Aqua Signal LED navigation lights series 60, 61, 65, 65 Arctic and series 75
- Manual / Emergency ON-OFF control for each lamp individually, in case of electronic failure
- Two-way NMEA 0183 communication for interface to VDR
- Integration with bridge systems by using integrated remote control function
