Ship lighting for interior spaces has many similarities with regular lighting for offices and buildings. Despite this, additional functional requirements are often imposed on the lighting on board a ship. Ship lighting, for example, requires that free-standing lamps have some form of anchorage, and that fixed luminaires can be properly fixed to the wall or ceiling, such that they are sufficiently resistant to vibrations. Ship fittings must also be able to withstand greater fluctuations in the power supply: the on-board network is not always as stable as the power supplied by a fixed power station.

Recessed ceiling lights
The Glamox range for indoor lighting consists almost entirely of LED fixtures. For the installation of fixtures in ceilings, there is a wide choice of various LED recessed downlights such as the DL40, DL41, DL42 and DL60. These downlights are available in many variants, such as dimmable versions or emergency versions with a battery backup unit. Various colors and connectors and beam angles can also be chosen
In addition, other recessed fixtures are also available, including the TL11-R250 LED. These recessed fixtures that replace conventional 2x18W and 2x36W fluorescent fixtures are also available as emergency and dimmable. Also a choice of different shades (prismatic/opal)
The applicability of these different fixtures is great, almost all indoor spaces such as day care centers, cabins, corridors, gym, stairwells, etc.

Surface mounted ceiling fixtures
For ceiling lighting, there is a choice of various types of LED fixtures, such as the 1961 LED for kitchens and other areas such as changing rooms, but also provisions rooms / cold stores. Corner luminaires for corridors can be used with the TL-43 LED. There is also a family of AL60 fixtures with a range of ceiling surface-mounted fixtures such as the AL60-SQ series

Technical interior lighting
Various technical surface-mounted fixtures are included in the program for all technical areas from engine rooms to workshop where some watertightness must be guaranteed. There is a wide choice of waterproof surface-mounted luminaires from 50,000 burning hours to > 100,000 burning hours, from IP44 to IP66/67. It is also possible to convert existing ships with Glamox / Aqua Signal fluorsecence watertight surface-mounted fixtures to LED. This is easy to achieve with LED conversion KITs. The internals of the existing fixtures are exchanged for these Led conversion kits, simple, fast and cost-effective!

Lighting for cabins, corridors, public areas etc
Lighting for commercial vessels should be both comfortable and functional. For example, it is important that the crew feel comfortable in the cabins, but it is equally important that the personnel have an effective lighting system that provides more light than just mood lighting. There are various fixtures for cabins, such as bed fixtures, desk fixtures and, of course, ceiling fixtures. Many ceiling fixtures are also available for corridors and day care centers as well as table/wall fixtures

Lighting in cold rooms and freezers must provide a safe working environment by achieving a certain light intensity even at low temperatures. In addition, low power consumption is required to minimize the additional cooling from heating by lighting.
All mentioned LED fixtures MIL LED, 1961 LED, TL50 and TL60 can be used for cooling and freezing cells down to -25°C. Only at lower temperatures down to -35°C does the choice fall on the MIL LED or the TL60, which can withstand these low temperatures thanks to their special LED drivers.
