Handhelds
In addition to detectors that are activated automatically, manual detectors are also required or desired at certain locations. A hand detector is always red in color and has a break glass. The break glass is present to prevent the accidental activation of a hand detector, but can easily be broken if necessary.
TTTBV offers hand detectors for current Salwico systems from Consilium, but we also offer Servoteknikk hand detectors and Eltek Fire & Safety hand detectors for existing systems.
Flame detectors
In those places where there is a significant chance that a fire can develop quickly, flame detectors are used in addition to smoke and heat detectors. This is for example the case over main engines or oil tanks. The flame detector is specifically aimed at detecting erupting flames, and thus offers additional protection as part of the fire alarm system. For some applications, such as the use of a fire alarm system in combination with a local application extinguishing system, heat detectors are also required by class agencies.
