Sevoteknikk AS Norway was a major supplier of fire detection systems for the maritime market, focusing in particular on Scandinavia. The first system was delivered in the early 1960s. Servoteknikk was the first supplier to use microprocessors in their systems.
In 1997 the family business was taken over by Scana Group. The company changed its name to Scana Servoteknikk. In 2001 this company was sold out again to Zenitel Group. In 2004, Consilium subsequently purchased all product rights for the Servoteknikk products (brand name). The best known systems of Servoteknikk were the ServoFighter C4, the ServoMaster and the precursor of the addressable ServoMaster system, the BMS 904.
Servoteknikk distribution by TTTBV
TTTBV started in 1999 with distribution, sales and service for Servoteknikk fire detection systems for the Benelux. In that year, the activities of this brand were taken over by the Norwegian Scana Group, with a strong focus on international expansion. Until that time, Servoteknikk, which had long been an independent family business, focused exclusively on the Sacandinavian market. TTTBV has put more than 1,000 Servoteknikk fire detection systems into circulation.
After the acquisition by Consilium in 2004, the products of Servoteknikk have been succeeded over the years by more modern Consilium alternatives. The Servoteknikk brand is therefore no longer actively marketed. However, there are still around 7,500 ships with a Servoteknikk fire detection or gas detection system on board.
Service from TTTBV for Servoteknikk systems
TTTBV has experience with fire detection systems since 1999. She started with Servoteknikk systems and subsequently gained experience with Consilium systems and Eltek Fire & Safety systems. It is currently estimated that around 7,500 ships with a fire detection system or gas detection system from Servoteknikk are still on board. TTTBV service engineers are still regularly asked to repair or maintain Servoteknikk systems anywhere in the world. TTTBV can also supply spare parts for all Servoteknikk fire and gas detection systems.
In addition to repair and regular maintenance, existing Servoteknikk fire and gadetection systems are also being expanded or parts of the system are being replaced by new components. TTTBV has an extensive stock of system components and control panels in its own warehouse. In addition, TTTBV is a distributor for manufacturer Consilium, the company that took over Servoteknikk in 2004. As a result, TTTBV is also able to expand existing Servoteknikk systems or replace them with backward integrated parts from Consilium, specifically developed for Servoteknikk.
