Next to the yellow searchlights look for Pesch GmbH Seematz wipers. The rectilinear wipers cover a maximum square of the window. All parts are made of stainless steel, except for the housing of the windshield wipers. They are made of seawater resistant aluminum. Limit switches, thermostatically controlled heating (100W) are standard fittings. Seematz wipers are Lloyds certified.
Motors of 24VDC
The guides for the wiper arms are made of temperature- and friction-resistant plastic material. The guides are driven by a stainless steel chain, which is driven by two 24VDC motors per wiper in series. Partly because of this, the wipers continue to function well even under extreme weather conditions.
Almost no noise pollution
The motors of the Seematz wipers are housed in a watertight compartment, integrated in the housing, which is mounted on the outside of the wheelhouse. As a result, the sound pressure in the wheelhouse is almost negligible.
From Seematz, we have three different base versions of the window wiper system. The Atlantic version is the 'smallest' version, it goes up to 10 wipers per panel. The 'biggest' system is the Pacific with max 24 wipers per panel.

Theunissen Technical Trading has been supplying the well-known Seematz wipers and searchlights for years. The (service) employees have specific knowledge of the Seematz wiper systems. We are therefore happy to advise you in making choices during new construction or conversion, the options in terms of control, adjusting the windscreen wipers to the exact window sizes and when carrying out repairs or commissioning. We are internationally active to support ui for both commissioning a windscreen wiper system and for carrying out repairs.
You can contact us with all your questions about spare parts, service and repair for your Seematz wiper installation. We carry out worldwide service work on Seematz windscreen wiper installations on board ships.
After many years of service, even Seematz wipers will eventually qualify for replacement, due to the harsh conditions the wipers are exposed to. Each wiper installation is custom made, with the numbers, sizes and designs of each wiper in the overall installation carefully archived. We also normally have the original dimensional drawings. For this reason, we can have your complete set of windscreen wipers rebuilt exactly in accordance with the original sizes and design.
The total time for production and delivery of a new set of wipers, to replace an existing installation, is normally 8-10 weeks. If desired, we can assist you with the replacement of the complete set of windscreen wipers, or commission the installation after the conversion work has been completed. Normally, the power supply, control panel and any washing equipment can remain in place, reducing the impact of a wiper refit in both time and cost. If you are considering replacing the existing rectilinear wiper installation, we will be happy to advise you.
Do you have questions about the marine window wipers or your specific situation, our Seematz specialist Marcel Vink will be happy to help you.
