WH type searchlights

The WH-type searchlight is a manually operated searchlight, operated below decks from the wheelhouse. The WH searchlight is mounted watertight through the wheelhouse ceiling. The WH type is a relatively cost-effective searchlight version, which is also chosen because it allows precise and quick hand control directly from the wheelhouse. Compared to the WS type, the WH type has a higher column on top of the wheelhouse, which allows it to overcome the ship's safety rails or other objects that could obstruct the beam of light emitted by the searchlight.
