DS type searchlights
The type DS (Deck Short) is a manually operated searchlight, which can be operated directly from behind the searchlight. The type DS is the most cost effective version of any searchlight. In addition to the favorable pricing, the DS or DH searchlights are often chosen if the ship has a smaller, open bridge, which allows direct access to the searchlight outside. This version is also often used on the bridge wings on larger ships.
The manually controlled searchlights are distinguished by their high quality, robustness and functionality. Installation is simple and maintenance is minimal. The Seematz searchlights are designed for use in the toughest conditions.
