DH type searchlights

The searchlight type DH (Deck High) is a manually operated searchlight, which can be operated directly behind the searchlight. The DH type is similar to the DS type, but with a higher column, which allows the searchlight to be used in an upright position, without the need for a raised foundation for the searchlight.

In addition to the favorable pricing, the DH or DS searchlights are often chosen if the ship has a smaller, open bridge, which allows direct access to the searchlight outside.
