The multipurpose vessel 'Living Stone' is largely built at the Spanish shipyard LaNaval in Bilbao and becomes the most advanced ship of its kind. The ship is equipped with DP3 (Dynamic Positioning 3) control and has a payload of 12,500 tons. The Living Stone is designed as a green vessel with dual fuel main engines and LNG as the main fuel. In order to consume as little fuel as possible and at the same time limit the emissions of CO2, NOx and SOx to a strict minimum, LNG and biodegradable grease and oils will be used, in combination with heat recuperation technology.
The 'Living Stone' will be added to the fleet of vessels of DEME's offshore division Tideway which currently consists of the ships 'Flintstone', 'Rollingstone' and 'Seahorse'.
The IP ACM system from Vingtor Stentofon has been used for Living Stone. The system over the entire ship is fully IP based. The advantages of these IP systems include the sound quality, flexibility and integration with other systems on board. The SPA public address and general alarm system has also been applied.
In addition to Zenitel's communication systems, TTT has also supplied and commissioned searchlights and window wipers from Seematz. The recognizable yellow searchlights and wipers of the renowned brand are visible from a distance.
