TTT offers technical support for the various watermakers from Sea Recovery. We are happy to take care of both on-site repairs and commissioning of a new watermaker. We are also happy to advise you on the purchase of the correct spare parts or consumables for your watermaker. We are happy to come aboard on request, regardless of the location of the vessel or platform on which the watermaker is located. Depending on the circumstances, Sea Recovery's extensive worldwide service network is also used to carry out a service job or commissioning.
Watermakers are essentially process installations. This means that in order to guarantee an optimal process of filtering water into high-quality drinking water, replacement parts and cleaning agents are required on a regular basis.
Sea recovery filters, service and spare parts
Sea Recovery has worldwide coverage for both service and the supply of spare parts and consumables. More than 200 exclusive distributors and service dealers are present around the world to service every Sea Recovery watermaker on board. In addition, all necessary spare parts and consumables can be purchased on site. All types of Sea Recovery filters, as well as Sea Recovery cleaning fluids, media sand or other consumables are available directly from stock. Theunissen Technical Trading BV has a webshop that shows all consumables, as well as a range of the most common spare parts.
Sea Recovery watermakers are offered at very competitive prices. A watermaker is a (partially) automated machine which converts brackish and salt/sea water into fresh and clean drinking water. This way, all water used on board, is taken care of by one machine. The Sea Recovery range of watermakers all use the reverse osmosis technique to purify the water.
Reverse Osmosis is a water purification technology that uses a semipermeable membrane to remove Viruses, Bacteria, sugars, soluble salts (ions), Metal Ions, and larger particles from sea water to produce drinking water. For more go to the page about Reverse Osmosis.

Every watermaker needs periodically maintenance which includes changing filters (consumables) and flushing the system. The best way to maintain your watermaker system is to make sure the filters are changed on time when they are poluted, flushing the system automatically after use and cleaning is performed every time it is needed.
At Theunissen Technical Trading BV we have an inhouse service department. Almost all spare parts and filters are available from stock. This way, we always find a solution to repair or fix a malfunctioning watermaker.
Yes. Brackish water will not harm the reverse osmosis membrane element nor the system. The Sea Recovery Aqua Matic and Ultra Whisper series self adjusts its operating pressure to compensate for high and low salinity feed water while producing the correct amount of great tasting product water. The Aqua Whisper and Aqua Mini series operating pressure may be manually adjusted for operation in brackish water conditions
No. Besides AC watermakers we also offer 12VDC and 24 VDC watermakers, this means that you don’t need a generator.
Yes. You can clean the prefilter elements several times before you have to replace them. It is important that you use only Sea Recovery prefilter elements, these are engineered with special materials and a specific micron rating.
String wound and fiber type filters are designed for the photographic industry and will last only 1/10th the time of the proper Sea Recovery filter element. Using string wound or fiber type filter elements will require ten times more maintenance and cost ten times more in element changes. Swimming pool filters and household under-the-sink filter elements are made from the wrong material; they are not of the proper micron rating and will fall apart in seawater which will cause fouling and damage to the reverse osmosis membrane elements.
