Benguala Gem Delivered to Debmarine Namibia

Benguela Gem, the world’s largest diamond recovery vessel for Debmarine Namibia / de Beers has been handed over to its owner. The vessel just finished its maiden voyage from Romania to the Port of Cape Town for the installation of mission equipment. After completion this new 177 meter AMV3 vessel will find its job in Namibia extracting diamonds from the seabed at a depth of 90-150 meters.

Theunissen has delivered several communication systems and other related systems to this vessel built at Damen Mangalia Shipyard. In addition to supplying the materials, TTTBV also provided the engineering and commissioning of the systems.
